Antisemitism watch

The non-government project Antisemitism Watch aims to identify and track emerging antisemitic narratives and tropes, and to educate the public around the world to pinpoint sources of antisemitic racism.

Since the October 7 massacre, a wave of anti-Semitic narratives has swept the world. New strands of anti-Jewish hatred have emerged, mixed with shameful spiteful prejudices of old.

All these haters, who used to cloak themselves in obscure language and euphemisms, are now encouraged to come out of the shadows to spread their poisonous lies. Some of them feel confident to openly call for violence against Jews, others still hide behind a web of political lingo.

This is war. It will be long, and it will be exhausting. To win it, the Jews and all people of conscience around the globe must keep a close eye on the many enemies, analyze their rhetoric, learn to name them and debunk their lies.

OUR CURRENT ACTIVITIES:

Fighting Appropriation of Jewish Narratives, Including the Holocaust: Outside groups, often hostile to Jews and Israel, take well-known themes and cut them off from Jewish identity and history, or they use the Holocaust and other Jewish stories for their own purposes. The use of Holocaust symbols and themes in propaganda by various states is not new. However, in recent years, аntisemitic and anti-Israel activities exploiting Jewish history and tragedy have reached unprecedented levels. We are working to detect and counter such appropriation attempts, by revealing them to the public.

“Know thy enemy”: AW purchases and provides a 4-lectures course by ISGAP “Post-Soviet Antisemitism: Roots, Content and Contemporary Implications” to Jewish organizations, student unions and University departments tasked with prevention of hate and bigotry on campuses.
